The church of San Giovanni Battista is in the historic centre of Bagno Vignoni in front of the large thermal water pool. The ancient parish church has a very simple facade, and the interior is composed of a single nave.
In the church are preserved: a painting of the Sienese school of the 18th century. depicting Santa Catherine da Siena in the town of Bagno Vignoni and a 17th century fresco of the Risen Christ which was originally in a small chapel overlooking the thermal water pool.
